We're actually staying through the 2nd. My son played and had a GREAT time. He got to play all of his positions. . . .Catcher, 1st, 3rd and pitch. Saw some great competition, especially pitching. He went 4 for 6, couldn't ask for much more. I'm glad he got the chance to go against such impressive pitching.... saw a different pitcher every at bat. During their 2 games (10 innings each) their team had 31 strike outs and only 11 hits! (tough pitching!) Well run showcase, and BEAUTIFUL weather. Nothing like spending both Christmas and New Year's on the beach if you're from Wisconsin!
As usual, PG ran a great event. Weather was AWESOME!
My son (08) attended last year's National Underclass as well. IMHO, I felt the OVERALL pitching last year was better. However, there definitely were some standouts.
Some names of guys that really stoodout to me:
JP Ramirez, Tyler Pastornicky, Eric Hosmer to name just a few.

Hunt 19, I seen you with a score book on Friday did you have it out for Thursday too? My son Josh played with your son- could you PM his stats? I was unable to make it down for the first game.

I did keep a book for Thursday also. It's just a habit I have gotten into I guess... a good way to see how my son did and how he stacks up, his trends, slumps, etc. Better than relying on MEMORY! I am more than happy to get Josh's stats to you. I will PM you tonight.
