Any word on who will be taking over at Deep Run?

Josh Aldrich - former AD & Golf coach at DR.

Does he have a baseball background? Or is this one of those situations where it got late in the year and they had to hire someone?

Is Josh Aldrich not the guy who played locally at Trinity then at VCU? I'm guessing not because I'm positive Midlo is familiar with whoever I'm talking about.

I believe you maybe thinking of Josh Alford.

Those in my family that seem to know said that he went to (played baseball at?) Elon.

I was reluctant to speak up because I could not remember details. I worked with his wife years ago and knew she had mentioned a baseball history. But keewart just nailed it.

I've met Josh several times. He's and his wife are great people. Hope he enjoys getting on the field.

Sounds very promising for a school with a tremendous pipeline of talent.

Aldrich was the varsity assistant with Odell from when the program began until he became AD. He also served as interim coach for the one game Odell missed when that whole thing was going down. Good transition as he's been around since the beginning and knows kids, parents, alumni, expectations, etc.
