My son just signed up for it. He is a 2012 grad as well. Plays Left Field . He had a good Varsity season as a starter and lead off hitter. Batted .347 and ob over .500. We are in a very competitive Section 2 AA field of schools and the competition in this area is fantastic year to year. Our school was second in NY last year and another in our area second this year. Since we are looking at schools in the NE, this one looked particularly good to get some showcase experience and to try to interact with some of the coaches at the schools at which he is interested. We are not doing alot of these. He is directly contacting the coaches to the extent of sending his grades, ACT scores and skills video and see if his ability would fit their program. With NCAA rules for any D1 and D2 he has previously limited any interactions to inquiring about camps /showcases, info on their programs etc.
