Looks like a good read about being a mom of a baseball player!

quote:
Who in their infinite wisdom decreed that
Little League uniforms be white?
Certainly not a mother.” Erma Bombeck

quote:
“Moms are relentless as tides. They don’t just drive us to practice, they drive us to greatness.” Steve Rushin, Sports Illustrated

quote:
“Be there for them, but let go; Be involved, but get out of the way; Be your son’s advocate, but teach him to be self-sustaining; Be compassionate, but be tough.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " Play both sports until the competition convinces you otherwise!! " " ...because baseball is just GOOD PRACTICE FOR LIFE ".
mythreesons ...
I thought the same thing when I first saw the roses ... and I bet it could be done up pretty easily for a centerpiece ... perhaps only at the registration table or something ... for end of season banquets. Probably would work best using little league sized bat and glove and ball. The roses could be done in some color that compliments the team colors ... can't you just see a beautiful golden yellow, or even white?
Where were these ideas when I was doing that kind of thing? And for that matter, where the heck was that book 20 years ago when we I was just beginning my journey?
As for the "book" in all of us ... I didn't feel like I had much of one until mine was drafted (tho there are some anecdotes from his youth that could be footnoted) and the title of mine is "Musings of a Minor League Momma" !!!
