Anyone experienced with appealing a Medical Redshirt?

We've been told son cannot apply for the Medical waiver because he played in second 1/2 of the season. (under the 20%, but still in the 2nd half).
I've heard it's possible to appeal this.
Any advice, suggestions, war stories

would be much appreciated.

My son was/is in exactley same situation. I have been through appeal process all the way through the committee. happy to help PM me.
