Is anyone familiar with this website "getmynameout.com"? I am listed on their website as an athlete who used this service and I have never even heard of them...

If that where true I would imagine legal action would be a option. Question them..........
I looked at the site and don't see any names listed anywhere. Are you logged in a as a member to see athletes listed?

I did run across a similar site yesterday though...Senator Dick Durbin's getyourbuttout.now!.
Aside from my hit I think the only other one was from Senator Burris. His was more a glancing blow!

Follow that link and there is a list of "Athletes who Have Committed in 2007". I notice a few other Illinois players on the list. Their contact information suggests that their main office is based out of New York.

Guess they didn't really claim that those athletes actually used their service.
I noticed some names on that list who we are very familiar with and they definitely didn't have to use any recruiting service. That’s not to say they didn’t, though. However, after reading your post, one has to wonder about this.

Out of curiousity, I sent them an email asking if all the people on that list had used their services. I'll let you know if they respond.

Chip - Early in 2007 we were toying with the concept of reporting on all athletes that committed to a college program, based loosely on the Rivals concept. We were going to link each athlete's name to the college athletic website but decided to scrap it before we ever launched it because of time involved tracking all the athletes on a national scale. So the answer to your question is no, nor was it ever our intent to imply that they did.
