Yes, my son has a friend playing golf there. He's a freshman and really likes it. It is very small though, I think under a thousand students-but it is exactly what this kid wanted. I believe he is a bussiness major.
this is 3rd hand 'word of mouth' from some players I know at Northwood in TX, but the baseball team in TX dominated the FL & MI teams in the 'intramural' Northwood series in FL every year. I think they have canceled the series starting this year or last. I've heard nothing but compliments on the academic side.
They are currently ranked # 19 in the Collegaute Baseball Pre Season POll
Last year they were 35-12 overall

I haven't heard much about the head coach, however, they have an assistant Chad Upson, who is a young guy (26) and has an incredible reputation and has had some offers to coach at DIII schools. Great teacher, energetic, bright, former Northwood SS who also is in admin for the school now. My son has played for him in the past and has attended camps where he was on staff and loves the guy. Knows the game and wants players to play the game the way it should be. I can't speak more highly of him.
I am assuming that it is the campus in West Palm Beach, right? The school is located about 15 mins. to the beach is about 10 mins. from an area called City Place and the downtown area that has restaurants, clubs, movies, etc. The campus is somewhat secluded from the main roads, but is still in a pretty busy area of town. Lot's of apts. nearby etc. if you don't want to live on the campus. It's a pretty small school though, mostly commuters. They have a good reputation for their Business Dept.
