Hi everyone! This is my first post, because I couldn't find any threads about this site. The advice here is great, and I'm hoping someone has had some experience with **********.

My son's club has a network on this site, which allows my kid to make a profile with his pictures, videos, bio, etc. He is an average player (half-way through Freshman year) who works harder than most the kids on the field and loves the game, but probably not looking at playing in college.

I'm not necessarily worried about getting the best exposure, but would like for him to be able to have a profile somewhere if moving on is an option.

Has anyone used this site **********.com? All feedback helps, and thanks in advance!

As for your first question I would suggest to stretch first. I know it's not that manly or romantic but it does help.

As for the second question you need to make sure your virus protection is high quality and up to date. You would be amazed at what kind of viruses you can get from these sites.
Apparently there's been some editing by a moderator, so I have no idea what sites you specifically referred to.

All I can say is, the whole idea of player profile pages to me is over the top and probably not terribly helpful, so I don't think I'd ever spend money on it.

There's only so much a guy can say about himself and still remain credible. If the site is full of praise, exploits, etc., it comes across like a 12 year old just bragging on and on. No one is interested in reading it, and the idea that a college would take it seriously is just not right. If anything, it could be taken as a negative.

The key is to get other, disinterested, trusted sources to say things about you that are objective and/or measurable. This is why people pay to go to Perfect Game showcases, and frankly if you really have collegiate capabilities then your money would probably be better spent in that vein.

On the other hand, if you don't really have collegiate capabilities, no amount of self-promotion will make up for it, and a showcase profile could conceivably make that evident to everyone. So, before you pay for a showcase, make sure you're ready to perform at your peak level so that you take your best shot at making a strong first impression.

Thanks Mildo! I agree with you that he's not going to market himself onto a college field. I just wanted to make sure that I'm helping him as best I can.

Julie- Thanks for the clarification! I wasn't sure what was going on with the asterisks.
