I will make some predictions....

POY - Cameron Butler

1st - Ross Cardwell(PA)/Kilmon (Kellam)
2nd - Drew Wilkerson (Cox)
SS - Jimmy G (Salem)
3B -
C - Robbie Newman (Salem)/Chris Warren (Bayside)
OF - James Taylor (Kellam)
OF - Zaine Jack (Bayside)
OF - Kyle Pro.....(Cox)
Utility - Frankie Lewis (Ocean Lakes)
Pitcher - Cameron Butler (Landstown)
Pitcher - Ben Tomcheck (PA)

You guys can fill in 3B......I didn't see all the times play this season so....let me know.
Again, very tough to do without everyone's stats, but as far as defense goes at 3b, I don't think there was anyone better than Cox SR, Matt Ittner. He started kind of slow at the plate, but really came on in the second half of the season and came thru with some key hits at important times for the Falcons. There may be some kids out there with better offensive numbers, but if I were a pitcher, I can't think of anyone in the district I'd rather have backing me up at the hot corner.

Because its very easy to rank kids based on their offensive numbers, I think we often overlook the defensive contribution when ranking players. Remember, there are two halves to an inning.

25-30 years?? You don't have to go back nearly that far balker. In 2006, when FC SS/Pitcher, Frank Berry was named player of the year, PA's Jake MacAloose and Kellam's Jason Taylor shared 1st team SS honors. So essentially they named three SS's to the 1st team. Sometimes, when the coaches can't come to a consensus, rather than snub what they may feel to be an equally deserving player in favor of the other, they decide to let them share the honor. Nothing wrong with that IMO. Obviously, I was very happy that the coaches chose to recognize him as a first team selection, but had my son been delegated to the 2nd team in favor of an equally deserving Jimmy Grassano, I'd have been no less proud of him and it would not have taken away from all that he had accomplished this year
