I just got back into baseball again this summer after a 15 yr layoff. Playing in a 28+ wood bat league where the top couple teams are made up of ex-minor leaguers and ex-D1 players, and the bottom teams are made up of ex-highschool and ex-summer rec players. Our team is about in the middle of the pack, and I'm not doing too bad either, hitting 0.361, 0.465 OBP. It took a couple weeks (and getting glasses) to get used to the curveball again, but now I'm starting to hit it pretty well. To me, that is the biggest difference between highschool & this league. In highschool, we got 80%-85% fastballs, and in this league we probably get about 60% fastballs.

What is the biggest difference everyone else has noticed?

My nephew is playing in an adult league and I have taken in a couple of games. There are some pretty darn good players in this league. Most are former college , minor league players just wanting to continue to compete. Its a lot of fun to watch and I certainly enjoy watching my nephew play the game. He is still really good.
