...for likely posting something stupid tonight. It's snowing, it's icey, it's cold, ESPN Classic is showing basketball (like we need to see more), I already watched "Field of Dreams" again on dvd (and it wasn't snowing in Iowa), so I'm reading the posts on here, and have fallen victim to cabin fever, hence this goofy post. And the batting cage is up but surrounded by snow........

Talk about needing a baseball fix.

I feel for you man.. I am so BORED and sick of this snow and ice.. I mean come on give me snow or ice but give it to me at one time please and then leave it alone, this everyday sh** needs to end.. I can only take so much of this..

If it helps at all, baseball season in the Big East officially begins Thursday so spring in only 48 hours away (at least in my heart).

Heck we even closed the "warehouse" (our indoor baseball escape) down tonight and that never happens. Didn't want the kids out driving in the ice.

We can deal with the snow, we walked to the building last year a couple of times, but this darn ice is hard to deal with.

Lets hope for some sunshine!! Cool

Gotta be bored; just watched "Night at the Roxbury" with my 15 YO and wife ("family bonding time" he called it), and got a reminder that if you dig deep enough, guys never really lose a sophmoric sense of humor. It may get cleaned a bit, but never is completely lost. Lousy movie to watch with your wife, but hilarious to watch with a 15 YO, despite the frequent disco music.

To my Florida friend; that just ain't nice ( greenjump), and even though my son won't be traveling this weekend (he's a "red-shirted Blue Hose"), may Presbyterian College beat North Florida in Jacksonville Saturday in their opener, and may it be warmer than it is here....
Hokie,
At least you've got power. I was a bit goofy myself when we were snowed in early this month. But I made the Mr. hook the generator up so I could check in at Hsbbweb!
We watched Bull Durham, oh.........and Titanic. There's a combo for you Wink Hang in there!

UCR starts this week-end with a home series against Santa Clara. We are expecting temps in the high 60's/low 70's, mostly sunny. Nearest airport to me is Orang County, but Ontario also works. We have son's room with a queen sized bed (good for a couple) and a guest room with a day bed and trundle. Anybody in desparate need of a baseball fix ... give me a holler. I can't guarantee my mood for the week-end (son pitches in opener) but the sleeping is comfy and lots of good restaurants around.

Fortunately we have two cable stations, YES and NESN, here that air replays of the Yankee and Red Sox games--- I can get my "fix" that way and of course Mr Pincus calls me at least once a week from Florida to brighten my day with baseball talk.

By the way right now it is 27 degrees with a foot of newly snow on the ground and more to fall today.
