I am sorry for going off the subject of the forum but A few college buddies and I have been patiently wating for a college baseball video game like NCAA football or march madness and it is not hapening so we are trying to do something about it. We created a website to see if there are others interested in this. If you would like to see a college baseball video game, so you can beat your heated rival when ever you feel like, then please visit the site, vote yes in the poll, add your name to the guest book, and pass on the site to your friends. A game like this could be tremendous to continue the increasing interest in College Baseball maybe to the point where ESPN will finally broadcast regular season games (Hey I can dream cant I). Once again I am sorry for going off topic for this board but I am just trying to do my part in exposing more people to the sport we all love, COLLEGE BASEBALL. Thanks!

CBF,
I agree. I love college baseball, and I have hoped to see a college baseball game for some time now, but since college ball isn't exactly the most popular sport in the world, it doesn't exactly appeal to the companies. In my opinion, college ball needs to go to wooden bats before there will be any strong national intrest in college ball.

I agree that the aluminum bat causes College Baseball to suffer from a lack of credibility standpoint. Wood bats I feel would be a drastic move in the right direction. But I also feel that metal should be gone from High School as well. The metal bats change the game and thats a fact. I know Im dreaming here because its not going to happen especially in High School. It sure would be alot of fun though to see the game brought back to where it was intented. Metal gives too much of an advantage to the hitter.
If the college game isn't attractive with metal, do you really think people will come out to see a 3-2 defensive game? I am not talking about the fans...they will come no matter what. But do you think the average person who would not normally attend a college baseball game would be more apt to come to a game because the players are using wood? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I think we need to get the games televised first before we start pushing for video games. Geez out of about 25 regional fox sports channels which caters to amateur sports, there were only 2 baseball games on the whole weekend. However, you were in your glory if you enjoy mens/womens basketball, volleyball, swimming, badmitton, fencing, fishing, ping pong etc...
