Area Code Camp

Son received an email today saying he was selected to participate in the Area Code Camp. Says it's free to participate and can choose Boston, Houston, Vero Beach, or Los Angeles.

Does anyone have experience with this? It's not the AC Games (Its the camp) Are there schools there? it's a long/expensive way to travel for a half day. But if it's great, will consider.
