Not sure where to post this....so going for General...

2012 son was invited to Area Code tryout next weekend. He cannot tryout in primary postiion (LHP) due to tricep tendionitis per Dr order. He also listed 1st base as a position and the tricep is not aggravated with "non pitching" throws.

Does he contact scout and communicate the restriction on pitching and seek advice on still trying out or forego completely as primary position is not at "prime performance".

We do not want to "bother" the scout with frivolous emails, but do not want to miss an opporunity and aim to have the pitching resolved by Area Code Games in August.

Yes. If your son is good and the scout is familiar with him he might not have to try out.
As we are new to this, we assume "one less player to look at is no big deal" considering his primary position is pitching and he cannot do that.

Adhereing to the school of thought that if not at 100%, shouldn't waste anyone's time.......

Will have him contact the scout tomorrow and go from there....

Thanks for the feedback
