Arizona State University Sanctions

I am curious how the sanctions, bann of post season play, and loss of scholarships will effect the 2011 recruiting class. Will players be allowed to sign with another program? Will upper classmen be allowed to transfer without penalty since the sanctions last up to 3 years?

I believe all the Juniors and Seniors were offered a free transfer option with no penalty. All in all I think ASU got off pretty lightly, but the fact that the main culprit is gone , and hopefully ASU will keep a tighter leash on all its programs, things should work out.

Actually if you go onto rivals.com there are numerous articles about the ASU sanctions. The NCAA has said only the SENIORS can transfer and play immediately this spring (not juniors, they clarified this). They lost more scholarships and are limited in their official visits (maybe only 9 officials). And no post season College World Series in 2011.
