My son robbed Garrett of a few hits last summer in a game in Oklahoma and the kid was just a class act -- rather than express frustration outwardly, he complimented PantherSon. He and his family are fine examples. I watched Steve throw BP and he just seems like a very genuine guy. I can see he's gone a great job with his son. I imagine Coach V (and most other coaches) wish they were able to teach how to properly channel set backs in the same way. Granted, I only saw the team play once (so the assessment may not be fair) but there were alot of bats being throw by a few other kids.
PantherSon has a lot to learn in that area as well -- he may not throw bats, but he allows poor at bats or errors or whatever to impact his next opportunity.
I hope good things happen for Garrett this year -- is he an '07?
