Would love to see Martin take this series in two, as the mother-in-law has been taunting us about the Metroplex teams that Lee has played thus far.

She's nearing her mid 70's, so I let her air her success with the Rebels since they are few and far between these days. It's hard on West Texans not to be in the state football championship game consistently as they were in the past, so baseball is the first sport they've managed to take to this level this year. (I KNOW Benevides has a great program with stellar athletes. I'm not knocking Lee, just my mom-in-law's cockiness.)

I've been rambling all day....GO WARRIORS!! What OBN said!
11's

What your boys saw tonight will be what they see tomorrow.

Walton changes speeds every pitch, he doesn't go to his fastball in a fastball count but they might see more fastballs from Walton than they saw from Flynn.

Your boys need to be agressive in the box, move up and in, reduce the size of the target and sit on the change-up. That is so much easier said then done but your hitters just might be the group to do it. Tell them to use that big field.

It you can get to Walton earlier, cause some errors and get him out of the game...Round Rock will be all yours.

If Walton goes more than 4 innings...well enjoy the early ride home.
Congrats to the Warriors as well on a season to remember. Martin knocked out sooo many great teams along the way and that is a true testament about how deep and good the Martin team is.

Congrats to 11'sdad son Shane on a great year and the good news for Martin is that he and several others on this team will be back next year.

We will be watching and cheering them on!

I'd like to say thanks to everyone that was pulling for us to upset another ranked team this week. It's been a great run and we just came up short this weekend, but for the 6 returning starters this will give them something to look forward to next year. Congrats to the Midland Lee Rebels, they have a very good team that never gives up. I see where everyone is talking about the Lee pitcher that went 10 innings with a hour delay between the 6th and 7th, my son was the other pitcher and after the delay I was happy he didn't return win or lose even though he had a lead when he left. Believe me he wanted to finish the game but not after an hour delay. Today's game was rough due to 5 errors and thats what cost us the game today. Ok im tired and I fill like im rambling on and on. Thanks again and now it's on the summer ball after a week off for church camp. Smile

PD: your right about the early season games against East. Big Grin

I would like to add that my four man crew for Martin baseball this season has combined to broadcast all levels of college basketball, division II football, division II and III baseball and every high school sport you can imagine. And all we could talk about on the way home was how in all those other experiences no one treated us as well as the Martin parents and fans. This is no knock on all the other schools we have represented. Martin had a special year and we are so grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you again for all the support and we look forward to next year. Side note if any one cares...Saturday's game was my 200th broadcast...one I'll remember. Panther dad I still look forward to hearing from you and broadcasting some games next year. michael.westbrook@thevoucher.net

Thanks blackhawk.

There are really 4 Sr. starters not returning but our DH will take one of spots so we'll have to replace 3 guys. The 4 Sr are Harrison Law OF, Brian Nephew 3B, Will Keiser 2B & Tyler Martin 1B.

Our catcher will move to the OF as we have a really good catcher coming up and our DH will most likely play 1st so 3rd and 2nd are the only two that will be open for next year unless some of the Jr's really step up and take some of the other spots which could happen.
