I'm usually a 3/4 / sidearm pitcher. I had a game yesterday where i threw well for 4 innings and in the 5th i began to lose a little control. My pitching coach said it was due to my arm slot. Now, when im throwing strikes consistantly he doesn't tend to say anything, its only when i get a little wild. Now from my understanding, as a pitcher you should throw from where is comfortable. When i throw almost completely over-arm i lose velocity and it hurts my shoulder. I also tend to be more sore after games. Does my side arm slot really effect pitching that much?
