Starting saturday, I started to have a type of arm soreness i've never really had much of before. it was inside my elbow, and I was somewhat convinced that it was related to my bicep. I hadn't been doing an weight lifting as we had state tournament, so I can't figured out what caused it. All I had been doing was throwing and hitting. It is pretty much gone now, but not completely.

Anyone have any ideas if this is just regular arm soreness or did I tweak something?

Also, any ideas of anything i can do to speed up recovery from this sort of soreness/injury if it occurs again?
Thanks a lot.

I would go see a sports medecine doctor and have this checked out.

Not enough information, but the most likely culprit is medial epicondylitis, although that doesn't fit with the reference to the bicep. Depends on what you mean by inside of the elbow. Medial epicondylitis can last a long time and become a chronic problem if not treated properly. There's no way to diagnose something like this over the internet, so just to "echo" everyone else go see a sports doc and ignore our attempts at diagnosis.

TRhit, that's a very irresponsible remark. Many people sending the message to "go see a doctor" makes that message stronger than if just one or two people send it. And since this is in regards to a medical condition, that's probably a good thing. But you'd rather let your desire to bash TPG get in the way of strengthening that message and possibly deter others from adding to it? I don't get it. Maybe there are times to get into it with TPG but this ain't one of 'em.

Andrew, none of us can determine the cause of your soreness. What you've described sounds like something more than just muscle soreness so I believe most here would agree that makes it worthy of a trip to the doctor.

Actually, I'm very familiar with Chris' posts. We've discussed pitching for a couple of years now, I would say. As Chris knows, I've not been the biggest fan of his theories. I do admire his tenacity though.

I will say that Chris has given this same advice many times, without any prompting or "inspiration" from others. I've got plenty to disagree with him about Cool as he would no doubt admit but this, I don't think, is one of those things.
