From the Sept 16 WSJ in a story about Golson's great throw from right to 3rd for the Crawford out:

"ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—When Greg Golson was a junior in high school, he bought a five-gallon, plastic bucket and filled it with rice. And anytime he was sitting around his family's house in Austin, Texas, watching television, he would stick his right hand inside.

Over and over, he would squeeze and unclench his hand, pushing down until he felt the bottom of the bucket, until his forearm was throbbing.

"I figured if I was just going to be sitting there, I might as well be doing something," he said.

That little exercise, along with several others, helped Mr. Golson turn a naturally strong outfield arm into a prolific one."

What the heck is this about??? Thanks
