"Bottom of the 7th with one out, pop fly to center field, runner on third did not think the center fielder would catch it, took off, 3/4 of the way home, the center fielder caught, the runner then turned back to 3rd, center fielder threw the ball to second as bases were loaded, that was 3rd out. 3rd base runner did not cross home plate, Head Umpire calls the 3rd out, and umps start to leave the game, ****** coach protests and they decide to overturn and it is a tie game and they need to play one more inning.
First a runner on 3rd takes off before tagging up is 3/4 of the way to home has to run back to 3rd and then back to home all while the center fielder catches the ball in short center field, and he throws it to second for the last out, there is no way anyone can run the bases that fast and score.
The rule book says " all calls are final and no protests allowed" which clearly the ******* Coaches protested so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Exact quote from media" it was the 2nd worst call he has seen in his career!
There were Scouts there and they were very disappointed in the outcome, could not believe what they were seeing.
Yes **** did get upset, who wouldn't they were celebrating on the field the umpires left the field, they thought it was theirs and then 5 min later they have to keep on playing."

Also heard a close representation from a reliable source. Are there any repercussions or protests that can overturn the outcome of what the Umpires did?

Whether the runner from 3rd base touched the plate (after returning to tag) before or after the appeal out at 2nd base is strictly a matter of umpire judgment. If he touched the plate before the appeal, the run scores. If he didn't touch prior to the appeal, the run doesn't count.

Since this was a judgment call, what was the coach protesting and, if protests aren't allowed, who was he protesting to that ultimately overturned the decision?
