Hello all. After being an occasional reader of this forum, I must say this is my first post. It is also a very important one. It can help you as parents, as well as your child getting into college.
My name is Jake McAloose. Some of you may know me, as I know some of you. For those who do not, I am from Virginia Beach. I went to Princess Anne High in Virginia Beach. I then attended ODU for four years on a baseball scholarship. After my senior year, I signed with the Chicago Cubs. But where I am now is where I can help you. I am now a Virginia Representative for Athlink. It is likely that you have not heard of us. The company was founded in 2008 and is based out of Arizona. It has already spread nationwide and is continuing to expand. What we strive to do is help athletes and their families along the recruiting process. It is a very complicated and confusing process. We help the family completely understand the process as well as give the student-athlete maximum exposure to the thousands of colleges out there. This is a very important step in the career of the student-athlete. We take the athletic achievements, as well as the academic success, and expose it to as many colleges and universities as we can, across the country. It is never too early to get your family involved and in the process of recruiting. As my high school coach always said, "Early is on time. On time is late." The more exposure your child gets, the more variety of colleges and universities your family will have to choose from.
For the packages that we offer, it is miniscule to the amount that your family can save with the acception of an athletic scholarship. Of course, it is illegal for us to guarantee that your son/daughter will get a college scholarship. But, we are very proud to express that our success rate is an outstanding 98%. What that means is, of the clients that sign on with us, that student-athlete accepted a scholarship to play their sport at a college or university.
