Massaponax HS Baseball will be holding a six team showcase tournament (fundraiser for 2017 Spring Break) for 2017 grads at our newly renovated field. Currently we have two slots available. Cost is $350 (includes umpire fees) teams will provide baseballs.
Currently we have seven DII and DIII colleges committed to attending. They include: Concord Univ (DII), Charleston (DII), Davis and Elkins (DII), Randolph Macon (DIII), Eastern Mennonite (DIII), Averett (DIII), and Patrick Henry CC. We do anticipate more schools as time nears. In addition, we will be contacting some DI universities to determine if they are still looking to complete their 2017 recruiting prior to our event.
Current format is being determined as we are considering three seven inning games or two 9-inning with teams being given a 1.5hr time block on Friday for a pro-style workout (60-yd run, infield, outfield, on field BP) for college coaches.
