Austin Peay/MTSU

Anyone have any comments on either of these colleges and their baseball programs. My son is going on a visit in the next couple of weeks to see the Austin Peay campus for the first time and meet with coaches. He's been to MTSU several times and going there to meet with coaches & team soon after. Any insight would be helpful.

mcphesh - My son has two friends that started at AP this fall (both juniors) and I will ask him if he's heard anything on how they're doing/liking it.

Also, you might want to send a PM to 03Parent. Her son just finished his baseball career there this past summer and is attending completing his degree. She'd be a great source of info for you.

MTSU - PM BigMW who is familiar with their program.

We have known and been friends with Austin Peay coach Gary McClure for a long time. I really like that guy and he’s an outstanding coach who cares about his players very much.

MTSU is not a baseball school. The baseball program has not done much in the last six years and I doubt they do anytime soon. Austin Peay is in the OVC which they are usaually competing for the title. Don't know much about the coaches but I would definitely recommend Austin Peay over MTSU. Just my opinion.
