One of my good friends and a former poster "baseballbuzz" son was called up by San Fran. Mac Williamson who was a pitcher on our showcase team and recruited as a pitcher to Wake Forest has been called up to the show! He is a power RH hitter and I wish him all the success in the world. He is a fine young man who comes from a great family. Congrat's to baseballbuzz and Mac!

Good luck to Mac and go Giants!
BTW I saw him play for the AAA Rivercats this year and he looked good!
As a Giants fan, I'll certainly be watching him. . .and hoping he can pick the team up son. So, wishing Mas Williamson a lot of success.
It's really fun watching these young men progress.
that's Awesome. Congrats to him and his family
In case you missed it, Coach May, Mac Williamson tore it up in the Arizona Fall League and played a big part in the championship.

BTW I got to see one AFL game this year. There were maybe 200 people in attendance. Most looked like retires, while the rest looked like WAGS. The two groups were very easy to tell apart.
The San Francisco Giants organization has been known for developing from within. Mac is another success story and we welcome him to the show!
Congratulations to the Williamson family! I look forward to watching him this year.
There currently is an opening in the OF, so it'll be interesting to see if this kid and/or Parker gets a shot at it. Based on recent history I would not rule it out. Not sure if he can play 1B too but there seems to be a fair amount of buzz about trading in infielder for pitching, and supposedly our 3b, SS, and 2b are off limits, so who knows -- there could be room there too. The other kid in the piece, Christian Arroyo, looks really, really good but he's going to have a hard time finding a role on the big club, however he's only 20 so no big hurry there.
Thanks for the update on Mac. Great family and I am very happy for Mac.
