Player Skills range from below average to outright studs in talent level. They pull players nationally who have never played together so working out a lineup and all that "melding"
an established team gets to do with thier elite travel team
just doesn't happen.
If you are 1 of the top 50/100 players in a major city, you'll already be invited to play with your local traveling team in national tournaments, so you probably won't need them unless you have no baseball connections in your area.
However, If your a good ball player and haven't figure out how to get on a elite tourney team to test your skills on a national tourney stage, we gave them a shot. If you think you can play at the next level, they're a quick way to test your theory. They take your $$, put you on stage and will give you a shot.
My son played in a couple of events in AZ the past year. Nice hotels, travel in charter buses, 3 meals a day, 24 hour supervision. Solid Coaching and Instruction which included Active AAA Yankee and Angel AAA ball players, Several Professional Minor League Coaches, etc. They are definity connected and can hire coaching talent.
In my sons case, he went and tried out and was picked for their JO team at UCLA Jackie Robinson Stadium with about 100 kids, some JV players, some outright studs.. Next, He ended up hitting .470 in the Jr. Olympics, he didn't care about their 2-4 tourney record, his skills got tested and he performed, Confidence gets boosted and it's off to the next season/challenge. Earning the starting SS role for your Varsity team as he has also done and is hitting .390 and .961 fld pct so far this season..
I gotta get my props in for him.. I'm proud of him.
Alot players don't have the 4/5++++ skills, aren't well connected to get on elite teams to play in national tourneys to help facilitate recruiting by D1 colleges, etc. BF is one way to get things started. Not the only way, but one way. I'll speak for alot of parents who will confirm that elite ball clubs are definitely a very closed and private fraternity to get into. Even if you are good, an establish team can have it's 1-9 starting lineup and 4-5 bench players who have been together for 4 or 5 years. For example, Babe Ruth in our area was "The" elite team every kid wanted to play for. 100 kids try out for 3 or 4 roster spots every summer. If you don't excite a clubs coaches/managers quickly, your not getting in and you have no option to play.
I started on the web and found them. It's been a positive experience for him. I paid $$ and it worked out for him. They are businessmen so If you do contact them and have issues with thier cost, act like you were in TJ and negotiate with them.
Business logic is as they get larger, their prices will come down. Their professional coaching staff combined with a top organization such as Teamone will be an option for alot of kids. Teamone probably liked the deal because it immediately increased their player base *** fold and possible gave them connections in the Northeast where BBF is out of... And I've heard alot of positive comments on Teamone, so BF saw an good opportunity.
