A 13U baseball player posted about Baseball Factory. His inappropriate post was deleted. I'll reword it.

Is there value for a player to get involved with The Baseball Factory? If so, at what age? Has anyone here had experience with this organization?

At thirteen you're in a transition year. You're moving from the smaller fields to the 60/90 field. What is most important the next couple of years is the best possible instruction to help you through the process. Where that place might be may vary on where you live.

I had two 13U players whose fathers left no dollar unspent in getting their sons to be the best possible baseball players. The kids both spent time at The Baseball Factory. One got playing time for a SEC team freshman year. The other got on the field once for a mediocre D3 program. The real difference was not where they trained. The difference is one is far more talented than the other.

The bottom line is heading into high school get the best possible instruction to become a quality high school player. Once you've become a quality high school player find the right summer team to get your skills in front of college coaches.

Good luck.
This evening, I'm going to give a lesson to a young man who is beside himself, confused and just doesn't know what to do. He is a good talent. He has great work ethic. He trains with a guy who is fantastic. Still, something between them does not always click.

I have no dealings with the Baseball Factory. I'm sure that for the majority it is a great place. For some a good place to learn and for a few not good at all. Why? Everyone learns at a different pace and improve at different rates. Maturity both physical and mental are different. Cues either make sense or confuse. That will never change. To be blunt, you have to know yourself and look inside of yourself if everyone else gets it and you don't. If they are improving and you are not then, "physician heal thyself."

Per showcases etc. The only thing that most promise is to get you in front of college coaches. If they name them in a brochure or online, then those coaches should be there. After that, it is up to you to make the most of that opportunity. My child went to one that was a scam. No colleges advertised showed up. We demanded our money back. Most measured up to their responsibility. Word of mouth is the best way to find out the reputations of showcase events and/or training facilities. Good luck.
