Does anyone have any experience with Baseball Factory Player Development Events? My 2023 went to a BF showcase and did well at several of the events. We received a call the following day with an invite to the Player Development Event. According to the BF Web site, the event is a mix of training and tournament-style games. The cost is between $2,700-$3,600 (depending on which event is chosen); the fee includes meals and lodging). I am curious to see if anyone else has participated and feel if it was worth the cost. Are there college scouts in attendance?

$2,700 to $3,600 should be closer to the cost for a season than an event.
Caveat Emptor.
Son attended an BF “tryout” event to get some cheap baseline metrics as a sophomore/16U player. Received similar call 2 days later inviting him to various events at similar costs (Pirate City, etc.). He did not go, mainly for the reason RJM cited. Another friend went. Said it was fun, like an intense college camp, but it did nothing for his recruiting. Most of the ones we saw had zero D1 attendance due to dead periods.
If he gets invited to the free ones, those are def worth attending. Otherwise….
There are lots of threads about Baseball Factory over the years, they mostly say the same thing, which is what Senna says, very consistent over the years:

wow, And I thought $699 for a PG tournament was a lot. Even when you factor in food and lodging not close. Even including airfare may not be more.
Can probably get a sit down and private tryout from Corbin for less.....
The only BF events worth attending are the $99 local events (just to get verifiable metrics) or the invitation only events (like Futures Games). Everything else is a money grab.
