Baseball following the lead of Football?

Coastal Carolina has been doing that same thing for a couple of years.   They seem to have had quite a bit of success with it

Virginia Tech used to do some satellite camps. Not sure if that's still the case.

William and Mary had always sponsored a baseball camp in late/fall early winter at Tufts. Not sure that they still do with the coaching changes (Head coaches of William and Mary and VA Tech went to OK).

ASU coach Tracy Smith was the Miami of Ohio coach. Then he was the Indiana coach until this past season. He probably still has a lot of recruiting clout in the Midwest. Now he has the lure of Arizona weather versus Midwest weather. He used to have to convince kids from the west Indiana weather isn't so bad.

Oregon hosts a camp in SoCal.

It makes sense that coaches host camps in areas where they were well-respected at a previous job, such as Tracy Smith back to the Midwest in Ohio and George Horton in southern California.  If the coaches start taking camps to areas where they don't have prior connections/relationships, then I won't be surprised if some legislation is introduced to limit those.
