Baseball in the Country.....

We tell college coaches that the Valley League is primarily rural-beautiful settings, wonderfully friendly country folks, great baseball, but that it isn't the city and if kids want a "night life" perhaps they should go elsewhere.

Proof positive: I received an invite to a social occasion today and here's a verbatim quote from the invitation:

""Feel free to bring your own shotgun and ammunition if you prefer. Maximum shot size is 7.5, 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz. Drinks and refreshments will be available once shooting ceases."
