I watched ESPN's broadcast of the Mets vs. Nationals yesterday (TVO is wonderful) and it was great! While I'm not a Mets fan I have to say that their "new" infielders (Mientkiewicz, Matsui and Reyes) looked sharp. Matsui looked like a seasoned veteran at 2B and Mientkiewicz made some great digs at 1B. Maybe Glaven will be able to get a little closer to 300 this season with a much improved defense behind him.

Could the announcer pronounce it? (Men-CAVE-itch) When he was new to the Twins and my sister was going to meet him and a few other players at a business function, we told her beforehand that it was pronounced just like it's spelled, MENT-kuh-wits! I think she caught on in time, though!
