Forney went to assistant from Houston former head coach at Palestine.

Is Jesuit open?

Jesuit is open despite making the playoffs 3 out of the last five years and making it to the 2nd round last year. The AD made a bad decision, and one that was fueled by misguided logic. One bad year with a lack of talent and upperclassmen leadership in a tough district should not have ended up in this.

4 sure. maybe the lack of talent and leadership was due to the administration's choices on student admissions

As for Forney, I believe the new coach there is Jason Farrow. He was the assistant this past year at Cy-Fair HS and at Humble before that.

The AD at Jesuit is not very well respected around the school and is being protected by the head priest... when religion is on your side...

word on off the field is the Naaman Forest baseball coach is heading to Wylie East....and a coach from Midland heading to Naaman...any confirmation out there?

Yes, Heath Andrews from NF to Wylie East. Waiting to hear on Jesuit still though. Big names in the hat. Some good perks with the job. Supposedly, Tuesday was the day for a decision. DTiger or anybody heard?

I will make a phone call and see what I can find out. Still have some contacts there even though I have not coached there in 14 years.

I haven't heard anything. I'm surprised to hear there are any perks in the job besides a few younger classes with some talent after 4-5 year run of not so good classes. Even my class, which was expected to be really successful, was more "potential" than anything and "potential" gets you nowhere.

Who is the Coach at Forney North?

Anybody know why Cardova left Garland Lakeview? And why Gladney left Waco Midway?

Gladney got an Athletic Director's position in Mississippi, where he is from. Midway is a very good baseball job.

I am calling Coach Cordova today to see what is up. We scrimmaged them last year and I am trying to finish putting together our schedule for 2010.

With Coach Meador heading back to Lubbock, that puts Klein Collins and Waco Midway as two real good jobs that are open this late in the game. Both should get very strong applicants.

what is the word in midway who is going to get that job anybody know who interviewed...

Since the job was just posted I am guessing that no interviews have been scheduled. Some district actually follow the rules of having the job posted 10 days before they start interviews. I would guess that the interviews at Midway will be next week.

midway job was filled by a coach out of frisco wakefield i believe his mother in law is the asst. superintendent in waco...

Met Jason Farrow and watched him coach at a college camp a couple of weeks ago. I think Forney is really going to like what they are getting. My son was on his team at the camp and really liked him. Our HS team scrimmages Forney early this year, I really expect to see good baseball going on. Probably can expect a lot of fun, too.

Here's the latest on the Midway position:

WACO (July 14, 2009)--The Midway ISD Board met in a Special Called Session on Monday, July 13 and named Paul Offill as new head baseball coach and middle school athletic coordinator.

Offill comes to Midway from Frisco Wakeland High School where he was the head baseball coach the past three seasons. He was the first ever coach at the new school and went 61-25-3 in three years.

He pitched at Dallas Baptist University for two seasons, but an injury shortened his college career. He ended up graduating from Texas A&M in 1997.

In 2008, Offill was named the Collin County Coach of the Year by Vype Magazine.

Offill replaces Tom Gladney who recently took a position as AD in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Has anybody heard this - new baseball coach for Naaman Forest is a football/softball coach from Midland? Also, did anyone ever find out why Cordova left Garland Lakeview? He was a good coach and will be missed.

I believe Wakeland hired Irving Mac. coach. Not sure of his name.

Wasn't it Barry Rose? I believe he also worked at Newman Smith
