What is amazing Bob is the dedication of a few resulted in the field at Manzanar being rehabilitated. While Ohtani played in the WS, a group of Japanese Americans returned to the rebuilt field and played baseball in Manzanar for the first time since 1945 when the camp was disbanded.

”As Shohei Ohtani played in the World Series, Japanese American ballplayers gathered in Manzanar for the first baseball games in the internment camp since World War II.”
