My son switch hits but sees more at bats lefty. His grips have always unraveled and one of the stores said it was because they were wound for righties. Is there a grip, similar to a golf grip, that doesn't have to be wound a specific direction so he can use the same bat on either side of the plate. Or is there a padded tape that actually stays on for a good length of time so you don't have to worry about retaping all the time. Thanks for the help!

My son (a lefty) had the same problem. I got a regular roll of Easton leather bat grip tape (which was cut for the standard "righty" wrap) and cut the angle at the ends in the opposite direction, so I could wrap it the "other" way. I taped both ends with some black cloth bat tape for good measure. My son loves it, and it has stayed put. I tell him to tell any righty who wants to use his bat that it's a "left-handed" bat - which he does, to some puzzled looks. My advice: if he bats more lefty, wrap the handle for a lefty. A few right handed at-bats shouldn't make the wrap unravel.
