What can you guys tell me about the Bates program?
Got a little note from the coach the other day... and now he has me interested!

That was the purpose of the "little note". It's in Lewiston, Maine, independent and coed. Comprehensive costs are $42,100. Small town campus on 109 acres. It offers Bachelors Degrees. Entrance difficulty is considered "Most difficult", only 29% of all applicants are admitted. They offer these majors: http://www.bates.edu/majors.xml NCAA Division III (no athletic scholarships). The baseball team is currently 3-8 in their conference and 10-17 overall.
They are not the best BB program in the NESCAC, but they are not bad.IMO any opportunity to send your son to a NESCAC school is worth looking into. They play, have fun, are competitive and graduate with a very respected degree.
