bd district baseball nice job on the updates, the EV vs Liberty game was 3-1 G. Ward 9k 1bb 2 hbp 0 ER, 3 Runs, as the three runs were on 2 throwing errors. Liberty played flawless, didn't hit much.
The mistake on the fourth run, was there was two runners on going to score but there was a throw by the right fielder to secondbase to get a runner trying to advance, he was out before the fourth run scored that is why there was a total of 3 runs scored and not four.
Just adding what i know since i was at the game. thanks for the other updates though.
Nah,

It was 4-1, I asked the plate ump as I walked past if the second run scored, he said both runs were scored, the second one crossed the plate before the out at second was made, everyone there saw the plate ump point at the plate when the second runner crossed and hollar out "run scores". Call him up and ask him, I am sure he will remember. When a batter is hit by a pitch and then scores on a clean hit, thats an earned run. Check the book.

The homeplate umpire said one run scored not both the second run didn't count as a result of the out at second base. That came off of an E3 with 2 outs.
the inning went as follows. batter #3 K, batter #4 HBP, Batter #5 5-3, Batter #6 E3, batter #7 single then thrown out at 2b (9-6), one run scored but the run was a result of an Error of the first baseman. IF firstbaseman catches ball by batter #6 third out of the inning no runs score.

From the book: A run is counted as unearned if A baserunner scores after the third out would have been made except for an error other than catcher's interference

To determine whether a run is earned, the official scorer must reconstruct the inning as it would have occurred without the errors (for purposes of this rule, the "errors" also include passed balls). The benefit of the doubt is always given to the pitcher in determining which bases would have been reached by errorless play.

I could be reading it wrong, but that is how i read it and always have. Not sure what the deal would be with the umpire telling one team one thing and another team another, either way it was a good game.
