Batter runs into ball on dropped third strike

During today's game CASon got a strikeout on a curve in the dirt that bounced out in front of home plate. The runner ran into the ball as he headed toward first and kicked it away from the catcher. It didn't look intentional. The catcher made the play but the first baseman dropped it. Should the batter have been out for running into the ball or does it have to be a batted ball?

Probably not. Unless it's intentional he can't be expected to avoid a pitch bouncing off the catcher.
