I have not played in this tourney, but I do however run it. 2011 will be our 10th year running these events. In that period we have gone from 12 teams to 128 this past year. We are expecting more growth this year with the addition of 10's, 11's, 12's and 13's.

As you can imagine there are several events going on in Omaha at this time with the College World Series. What separates us is the fact that all of our sites are in Omaha (all of the older fields are high parks not city), so that travel is minimal, it is reasonably priced and we ensure each team an evening off to attend the series.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me @ 402.203.7070 or check out our website. We have started taking registration for 2011

Went last year in an 18u tournament that part of it was tickets to CWS for boys. they designed tournament around going to CWS. So no late games, all games were done by 4pm. The tournament itself was mediocre in talent, Some good teams, some really bad teams. You are correct, hotels are not cheap. no idea if you can do better in Council Bluff. certainly not far from Omaha.

The CWS is amazing though and by all means GO. We had some dads/ players chose not to go because, well I guess I don't really know why, but the reason we (my son and I) drove 12 hours was not to play in the tournament. Lots of better tournaments close to home. But to experience the CWS while getting to play also.
