Oh no I don't run a team -- anyone who runs a team would already know about this kid....

I'm just a local who's doing my best to keep up with the local HS team's and some of the areas top players...

Someone was telling me "this kids throwing 90" but you never really know....

93 and a slider - niiiiice....

It's exciting to see HS kid's throwing this hard, and I'm sure he's probably garnering a lot of interest from the Braves and others.

Thanks for the updates.

Dutchman why so interested just out of curiousity? not sure if you run a team or???

I've personally watched Damion grow up over the years. Have known him since he was 11 years old. Prior to JV & Varsity he played on a travel team based in King George.

He's had scouts from several major league teams - Braves, Royals, Red Sox - look at him in the past year alone. This year's first scrimmage had at least 4 scouts putting the gun on him.

As noted he can turn it loose - he's consistently in the 89-92 mph and I've seen him throw 93-94 on occasion.

Oh and did I mention he can hit? Four HR's last spring. I've personally seen him hit one 425+ feet at Caroline - went into the trees well behind the right field fence.

Eastern View High School’s baseball team opened the season with a win Monday, scoring two early runs and holding off visiting Fauquier in a 2-1 defensive struggle.
Defense was a question mark heading into the season, with the Cyclones basically breaking in seven new starters, but after committing just one error Monday, EVHS head coach Danny Nobbs said he couldn’t think of a better way to start the spring.
“We knew defense was going to be the key factor coming in, but we actually played a phenomenal defensive game,” Nobbs said by phone Monday. “The guys came out and did their jobs, and we really can’t ask for any more.”
Denver Jenkins plated Brandon Settle to score the Cyclones’ first run, while Guillermo “Nemo” Martinez brought the other run across the plate.
Settle led the Cyclones at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, while freshman A.J. Stead recorded a double in his first varsity at-bat.
Senior lefty Tanner May — the Cyclones’ ace — got the start and the win Monday, striking out eight and walking five in four innings of work. Sophomore Jacob Jackson went the rest of the way and earned the save.

Damion Carroll struck out 16, allowed one hit and walked three to help King George get a nondistrict win at Washington & Lee.
Michael Hundley was 3-for-3 with three runs scored; Dylan Dombrowskas was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored; and Zak Kegley went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Foxes (1–0), who host the Eagles on Thursday.

King George 13 W&L 3 (6 innings).

Lex Estes pitched a good game for the Foxes. Dustin Phillips closed in relief in the 6th.

I don't have all the stats yet, but Dylan Dombrowskas was 2 for 4 (single, double) with 2 RBI's and a run scored. Damion Carroll had a two doubles with at least one RBI.

KG got out to an early 5-0 lead. W&L scored three runs on a 3 run double in the top of the 5th. The Foxes plated two more runs in the bottom of the inning and added 6 more runs in the 6th to win the game.

Next week - at Louisa Wednesday and at Chancellor Friday.
