My son uses last years top of line Rip-It. If you're OK with the cost then you can buy one and try it for 30 days. If your son likes it, keep it, if not, send it back and get your money back. No risk
He likes it, plenty of pop, large sweet spot, and slightly end loaded. He's used Rip-It's for the last couple of years. He wore one out (lost it's pop) but got 2 good years out of it, so we got him last years model a couple of months ago. You do get 30 days to try one out, so no risk.
Have a follow up question. Do Juco, D1,D2,D3 and NAIA all use same BBCOR bats ?

Yes... HS too...
I've really been impressed with the Louisville Slugger Omaha Balanced my son's been using this season... They changed the name for 2014 and the color to the Assault, but it's basically the same bat... Most of the starting lineup for FSU uses the Assault...
My oldest and his teammates are swinging an Air Elite(2 pc)...so far they all like it.
Bolts...spot on, those Omaha balanced bats are solid performers...ridiculously cheap for last yrs model to

Almost everyone on our team is swinging the Omaha Balanced... Last season it was the Easton S1 that most players used...
My son is on his 3rd 5150 Velo (wore out first, got a replacement, and just went to 33" model). He, and many of his team mates, love the bat. But the indoor person throwing BP to him...not so much. (Loud bat!)
Batty67,
Thanks. I've heard a lot of good things about that bat. Very balanced, which seems to be the key.
