We make the switch next January....of those who have used them in HS/College, which are preferred? TPX, Demarini, Easton, Rawlings, etc.

Since California High Schools went to the BBCOR standard a year earlier than the rest of the country, that's where most of the early opinion and evidence has been generated.

I have heard the Omaha and Demarini are decent.
In an earlier post I ask about the Marruci Cat5 BBCOR and did not get a response. We like the Marruci wooden bat but wondered if their metal was as good as their wood bat ? Any thoughts on that ?

CA may have gone to the standard a year early, but from what I have seen, most players are using CF4s and other waiver list composite bats with only a few BBCOR mixed in. I think we are going to have to wait until next year to see the full effect of BBCOR on high schools.
Not in Virginia. You can use BBCOR bats of course, but you can't use any composite barreled BESR bat. Composite handle, metal barrel okay...
Well there you go. In CA we can't use metal barrel BESR bats... only BBCOR and composite BESR off the waivered list. What I was trying to say is...most players, if given a choice, will use the BESR bats that are available instead of BBCOR. So we will not know the effects of BBCOR (in high school) until next year.
