I know it's past Thanksgiving now, but I wanted to post a Thank You note anyway, to bbscout.

Doug, I think it is tremendous that you take the time to share your thoughts and experience with us here, from your perspective as a pro scout, the dad of a HS-college-pro player, and a fan of the game. I have always appreciated your wisdom and insight - and also the really cute photo of your grandkids in your avatar! Big Grin

bbscout brings a perspective to this forum that is highly respected because of his experience and the wisdom that comes from such.

I actually sent bbscout a PM when I was new here to clarify something he had said along with an opinion about something a college coach had told us. Not only did he respond immediately, but did so with thoughtfulness and respect. To use your wisdom to help others is a great kindness and will always be appreciated around here. He is truly one of the great voices here!
I am flattered that MN-Mom would start a thread like this, but it is not me that should be thanked for anything.
Bob should be thanked for starting this site and MN-Mom for keeping it going. It would be darn near impossible for me to name every member who has been thoughtful and helpful to others on this site.

Fungo and TR were here before me and are part of a group that has helped many parents about the ins and outs of HS, College, Pro and Showcase ball along with the SAT's and helpful advice on how to approach getting into college.

Happy Holidays to all the members of the HSBBWeb, including one of the newest members, deemax, who is my oldest son.
bbscout,
I to want to thank you,
For all you do in the NW and N. Cali.
I've seen just in the last few year's how thing's have changed for the better in the NW as far as baseball is concerned.
And it's people like you that have helped make that change. Thank you.
Also I see you added another person to your avatar.
Congratulation's.

I'm glad MN-MOM started this thread for BBSCOUT.

Since my very first post here at HSBBW messageboard, Doug has made himself available and responded to PM's and emails. BB is an humble professional with "MUCH" baseball knowledge. An icon in the scouting world.

As I mentioned down in the hitting thread, Short to zone...Long through zone, BBSCOUT deserves the utmost respect. Knowing what I know about BBSCOUT, he doesn't really like this type of recognition. He will quickly, as we read in his post above, shift the credit to others, unselfishly. I admire him for that.

Happy Holidays Doug and may God richly bless your family during the holidays and in the years to come.

Thank you for your time , sir. Peace, Shep
Merry Christmas Doug from Nevada.
I hope eveything is going well for you and the family.

My fondest baseball memories always will include listening to Doug share baseball stories along the left field line watching the "old" Carson Capitals play.

By the way Doug, my son finally met his idol last week. Matt Williams was in town.
Take care,
Terry
