Looks like the Beach Blast is shaping up for some good games starting tomorrow....All the teams seem to have good teams....FC, Hickory, Landstown, Hanover, RE Lee, Indian River, Cox, Maury and Norview .....very few losses for any of these teams. It will be interesting to see the depth of pitching for these teams.

Grassy,
From what I saw all fall and now into the spring... The SE district has five teams that with maybe the exception being O.Lakes ? would dominate the very young Beach District this season. The SE District is very Junoir/Senoir dominant with many fine players ! I fully expect two of those five teams to do good things come playoff time...
It all goes in cycles (the beach graduated a lot of talent last year).....right now, no one is playing well in the Beach, except Ocean Lakes. FC wins with Bowman on the mound and PA with LeMasters.

The SE District is by far the superior conference in the Area.......I actually think Grassfield, Great Bridge, Western Branch or Indian River can take out a Menchville in the playoffs with their number one pitcher on the mound.
F.C won 7 to 2 but Maury was out of arms and Cook pitched really good. F.C is finding itself, they played alot of guys and made a few errors this spring break. Maury is strong. But I don't see any team in the beach, unless they pitch their number 1 pitcher, can handle any of the top 6 teams in the SED. Its not even close. and I'm a big fan of every beach team.
Who pitched in the Cox/IR game? Seems like a lot of runs for IR to give up if they used someone in thier top 2 or 3.

As far as Beach vs SED if the whole of the week is looked at the SED has the better of it by far.

Other SED have a mix on the road. WB looks like it had an tough swing to FLA. GB still has Nova left and with a win they had a good trip. GF had an outstanding showing in SC.

Too bad Menchville didn't get in on some of this action.
Hanover over Landstown 7-3 F/9 in the longest game ive seen in a while, took over 3 1/2 hours from start to finish. Sandifer went 5 innings strong giving up 1 run, Schiable pitched into the 8th where hanover scored 2 runs & went up 3-1. Landstown tied it 3-3 with help from a Scott Hurrell homerun, but hanover came back with 4 in the top of the 9th to seal the victory.
