Does anyone know the revised schedule for the tournament and does anyone think the games will be played tomorrow?

According to this mornings VP the revised schedule is being worked on today-
First Colonial 5 St Augustine NJ 4 8 Innings
FC tied it up at 4 apiece in the bottom of the 7th when Frank Berry scored from 3rd on a wild pitch. They won it in the bottom of the 8th after 2 outs, A Wright walked, K Hill Singled, Berry walk and R Sykes base hit scored Wright. Dave Supa homerd in the 2nd for FC and Bulman tied in the 6th with a 2 run shot over the score board. Mueller, Berry, Wright, M Carmines and R Fee pitched for FC. Fee came in the top of the eight with the bases loaded and no outs and after a pop up , fanned the next 2 batters for the win.

Pitching duel here with the Hickory right hander J Shuebert going the distance allowing 2 hits. Soph Bulman (FC) made one mistake when S Parson hit a 2 run homer in the 1st. Bulman only allowed one more hit, a 2 out single in the 7th.

everything in your summary of the st. aug's vs. fc game was accurate (as usual). what i found a tad curious was the huge omission of the bases loaded st. aug's batter being hit by a pitch ? in forty+- years of this old ****s baseball life that has to rank right up there with the worst calls by an umpire ever ! not saying that fc would not have won anyway, but fella... you are a very straight shooter and that was a horrible call !!

I actualy did not attend the 1st game and recieved second hand news from our peanut gallery. Since the info came from our side of the fence it seamed to favor the call ( The kid may no attempt what so ever to avoid being hit with the pitch). Had I recieved the news from the other side I probably would have heard something different, or statements about horrindus call as you stated. Because of this I felt best not to start controversy by making any kind of statement at all. Had I attended the game I may have posted something regarding the situation or at least the other teams good fortunes, homers, big hits etc as I did FC.

how come the FC coach got tossed today??
Kellam did not travel to NC. A combination of weather and scheduling conflicts with the local teams resulted in the games being cancelled.
Coach Jones was able to work some magic and get a few games scheduled locally.
Kellam played a team from Cleveland Ohio (Vikings) and won by a score of 26 - 1.
They have 2 games scheduled for tomorrow 2pm and 4pm at Kellam. Not sure what teams they will be playing, but I think one of the teams is from NY.

Maybe we need to hold the officator accountable for reversing the call. Isn't he the one in charge? What kind of pressure was put on him? Regardless, somthings not right here.

let me start by saying that the reason i was even there was to cheer for austin wright and the home boyz from fc ! that being said, i've got to believe a more objective opine would have been very different on whether or not that player attempted to not get hit by the pitched ball. a 2-2 very inside off-speed pitch taken in the back or high on the shoulder as your turning in away from the pitch ? my intent here is not to belittle fc's win, but to call that umpire out for the terrible call that had a very possible impact on a game !

kellam is in the hampton roads invitionial tommorrow's early gm.they will be replacing granby which pulled out.

I can help w/ your question. The Hickory pitcher you had a question about was junior, Robert Schubert.
With he & junior Kyle Kilpatrick, soph. Chris Madison back next year they may form a pretty good pitching staff. But they gotta score runs to win any ballgames & that's seems to be Hickory's achilles heel this year.

Soph DJ Rathbone went the distance allowing 4 hits striking out 4 and up his record to 3-0. He keep the Creek hitters off balance with some nice off speed stuff and threw a lot of ground ball outs. The defensive play of the game began when Muller started a 5-4-3 DP with a tuff short hop fielding play and A-man made a great turn to finish it out. Berry and Wright ended the contest with a 6-4-3 DP. Soph Bulman got FC started with a 2 out base hit in the second to score Cruit. Muller started a 3 run 4th with a shot to deep left center. FC took advantage of Creek throwing the ball around late in the game for the final 6-0 score.

Interesting game between Windsor and Salem -- Salem's Spears went the distance --- outstanding change up, mixed well with routine fastball, the team (Salem) hit up and down line-up and displayed many facets of the game (mental errors included). Salem squad, small but s******. Windsor group bigger but did not execute. Salem did not rely on any one person, the whole group produces. The coach is not afraid to make changes at any point in the ballgame. Only problem they go from small to smaller -- with him, execution is a must. Looking forward to the F.C. game tommorrow.

Definatly sounds like a bad call against St Aug. Yes to your last question, There were some bad calls against FC and it definatly was a quick trigger.

Kellam won both there games today. Does anybody know the scores. I heard Sean Ray pitched a no hitter the first game striking out 14 hitters in 5 innings. Steve Augone pitched the second game, how did he look?
I saw the call against St A, but was too far away to see details. Ump never hesitated. Unfortunatly for St A, but blue must have seen something to be that sure. Batter didn't help himself and got the hook.

FC retook the lead scoring 5 in the bottom of the 3rd with 6 consecitive hits hilighted by back to back doubles by Billy Muller and Ryan Sykes. In the 4th FC extended the lead to 7-5 with a Muller shot to left center field and Muller put the game out of reach with a 3 run shot in the 5th, Matt Carmines pitched 3 shut out innings for FC. Muller had 6 RBI's. T Ellis, Muller,Sykes Supa and A Wright had multiple hit games for FC. I have to say this is the 1st game FC hit up and down in the order.

PA 7 Churchland 3
PA 11 Hickory 10 in 9 innings- defintely a hitters game. HR by Chris Deans who hit hard in both games. Alex Owen hit in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. Hard fought game by both teams, could have gone either way.
