Fridays Games include: Bayside at Kemps
Landstown at Kellam
Ocean Lakes at Cox
Tallwood at Green Run

And IMO the "Game of the Week" for (WEEK 1) features
FC at PA
This game should set the tone for the season of who will be chasing No 1 Kellam and if FC and PA can continue on with last years success.
Good Luck to both teams.

Next Week's (Week 2) "Game of the Week" may be Kellam at PA (can Kellam live up to their No 1 ranking?) or Kemps at Cox (No 4 and 5 Battle it out for that middle ground, will it be a battle of unbeatens?)Time will tell, tune in next week.
Make your picks for the game of the week thru out the season. Good Luck, have fun!
This is not a contest, or offical picks, so chill and have fun, no fighting.

Maybe I worded that wrong, not looking for predictions on who will win the game of the week, that justs starts a lot of debates or negative comments.
Only looking for choosing which game should be considered as the "Game of the Week", the most interesting game to watch each week or would have the biggest impact at that stage of the season.
No more score predictions please, not on this thread, thanks.

People will ask how those 2 kids will do. So why not tell them? Just like they always want to know how Zach Woods and the Berry brothers are doing. People like to follow the hype, it's the norm. I am not singling Jason out. He was in the leadoff spot and saw the pitcher throw 5 pitches, which is great for a leadoff hitter. Kudos to him for showing patience. If you are upset then I don't know why, sorry.
I agree it's not singling them out. People want to know how these young players are doing and thats what this web site is about. If you don't want to know about the players then don't watch baseball.I'm sorry if I come off a little to strong or rude, but it's just my opinion. Good job Jason on another succesful day on the diamond.
Just to add on to the fc v. pa game...
"Topher" came into relieve "Berry" in the 6th inning and got the first two outs quickly, then plunked the next to hitters with Zach Woods coming up big with a 2 rbi triple to right-centerfield. Zach pitched an incredible game and Jake M. also got a few hits.
*John Kirby for FC hit the oppo. homerun.
Sounds like this weeks (Week 1) "Game of the Week" was all that we expected, a good game to watch. Congrats to PA.
That sets up next weeks (week 2) "Game of the Week" as Kellam visits PA next Friday . Ought to be a Barn Burner.
Kempsville drops one to Bayside 4-3, after going down 4-0, Kemps was able to get back within 1 but fails to convert on Bases Loaded with 0 outs. Little gives up 9 hits, 1 BB and had 5K's in 6 innings but a couple of key errors with runners in scoring position killed Kempsville chances.
Bayside held the Chiefs to just 4 hits, gave up 4 BB and fanned 3.
Kempsville goes to 1-1 as Bayside wins their opener.

A few more details concerning the Bayside-Kempsville game. Bayside committed no errors and played extremely well. I was impressed with their hustle. They sprinted on and off the field and played with a lot of enthusiasm. Bayside started four sophomores and all played well contributing 3 hits and solid defense.

Senior Nick Wilson got the complete game victory. Junior DeAndre Bussey reached base 3 times and stole a base. Congratulations to both teams for a well played exciting game.
