#1 Ocean Lakes-6 Green Run-5

WP- Riley Koonce (1-0)

The Dolphins found themselves in a battle the whole game as the Stallions of Green Run gave them their first test of the season once gaining their #1 status. With a shaky outing from starting pitcher Pat Ryan ('11), Freshman pitcher Riley Koonce came through in the home stretch for his first varsity win. Alex Lambert went 2-5 with 2 K's for the 'Fins as they survived the upset minded Stallions. The top-ranked Dolphins are now 9-2 (7-0 Beach District). Also the Dolphins failed to score at least 7 runs for the first time this season.

The Diamnond Fins are back in action tomorrow as they face Kempsville at home in a make-up game from earlier this season.
Interesting win for Kellam v. Salem today. Down 13-4 in the 5th, they climb back with a pinch hit solo HR by Reaume, 3 run jack by Kilmon and a 2 run, 2 out triple by Younce in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game. In the 8th, a walk and a Moynihan single lead to a Harrington walk off BOMB.

Very sloppy game with 12-15 errors between the 2 teams.

#1 Ocean Lakes-4 Kempsville-0 Top of 4th

The Dolphins and Chiefs were in a rubber match the first two innings of play as Tyler Clements took the hill for the 'Fins today. Though in the bottom of the 3rd Ocean Lakes' offense came to life. After an error on a hit by Kyle Robertson, Alex Lambert then launched his 5th home run of the season to open the scoring and put the Dolphins up 2-0. With runners on second and third later in the inning and Casey Bryant at the plate, a wild pitch scored Ryan Slater from third making the score 3-0. Later in the at bat Bryant scorched a double scoring the other run making it 4-0 heading to the top of the 4th....
#1 Ocean Lakes-10 Kempsville-0 Bot of 4

Kyle Robertson was on base via error once again when Alex Lambert hit him in. With the bases loaded later in the inning Tyler Clements helped himself out with a single scoring two. Marco Anguili followed with a single scoring one, making the score 8-0. Casey Bryant follwed with an rbi single off the left field wall making it 9-0, then Allan Gibson followed with an rbi double down the right field line making the score now 10-0. There are now two in scoring position still with one out. Kempsville is making a pitching change.
#1 Ocean Lakes-12 Kempsville-0 FINAL(5)

WP-Tyler Clements

In a lopsided Beach District showdown, the Dolphins of Ocean Lakes bats roared as they ten runned their 5th Beach opponent this season. Tyler Clements went the full 5 innings for the win and was helped by many multi-base hits from his offense, including Alex Lamberts 5th homer run of the season. With the game tied 0-0 heading to the bottom of the 3rd, the Dolphin bats came to life to produce 4 runs in the half inning and never looked back. The next inning in the 4th the 'Fins added 8 more on consecutive hits to conclude all scoring at 12-0. The Dolphins are now 10-2(8-0 Beach District) at the mid point of the District schedule.

The Dolphins of Ocean Lakes have now scored a District leading 126 runs in 12 contests. (10.5 avg)
The Diamond 'Fins will be back in action on Friday, April 23, as they host the #6 Cox Falcons in a key District and Top 10 Eastern Region showdown.

No, they are the same kids. I think he was trying to save arms. I'm not sure.
Based on the scores seen in the paper, I think these are the Beach District records. Tripleplay, I must have missed some of Tallwood's. Who did they beat and to whom did they lose? Also, missing a district loss for PA according to you.

Ocean Lakes 8 - 0
First Colonial 8 - 1
Cox 7 - 1
Bayside 5 - 5
Princess Anne 4 - 4
Kellam 3 - 6
Tallwood 2 - 4

Landstown - 11
Green Run - 2

Landstown got a fairly easy win today with Langejans starting the game and had a good outing going 3 innings with 1 earned run given up. Both Price & Roe each went two innings giving up only one more run between them. Hurrell had a 2-run blast in the 5th & Hinton had 3 rbi's to add. Well defensive game played , considering the field had a mind of its own. Next week LHS plays two home games Tuesday and friday against Cox & FC (both 8-1).
