Beach District Games: April 26 - May 1 (Week 7)

Kellam is 4-6.

I thought PA lost to FC 2-1, OL 13-0, Kellam 10-2 and Cox 9-4. If so, that is 4 district losses.

FC beat PA friday 6-3
FC is 9-1
PA is 5-5

Well this week i see both FC games being the matchups of the week. especially tuesday against OL where two strong pitching staffs will be going against one another, & the FC pitching staff going against that Ocean Lakes offense that has only scored less then 7 runs once this year.

Ocean Lakes has been held under 7 twice. Green Run (6) and Cox (3), granted 6 is close enough Ocean Lakes will be seeing Bowman I am assured. Though the Dolphins will not have Morimando going against him, granted the lefty didn't have anywhere near an ok outing on Friday vs. Cox. OL's pitching staff is looking sluggish as of late, aside from Tyler Clements(3-0), who I believe should get the bump. He is coming off of a no-hitter(abbreviated 5 innings) vs. Kempsville last Wednesday. With the game being only 5 innings and having a low pitch count because of such, I am sure Tyler should see the hill on Tuesday. Look for a great game here Tuesday.

Three teams with one loss. Wich of these 3 teams has the easier schedule remaining and if they end up tied who has the tie breaker advantage?

In the past, if there is a tie for the top spot, those two teams play each other. This determines the season winner, which goes to regionals.

After the OL/FC game tomorrow, Cox and FC still have to play each other for the second time I believe. OL plays an easy schedule the rest of the way out where 5 of the 6 games remaining are against teams they ten runned the first go round with Tallwood being the acception, a 7-2 affair. If everything goes as should, tomorrow game and the Cox-FC game have the biggest impact....making FC the team holding its own fate as of right now.
