Kellam 7 Green Run 0.  Josh Worthley continued his great start to his Sr. season connecting on a 3 run blast (2nd HR of the year) that open up a relatively close game.  Five Kellam pitchers dominated the Green Run hitters giving up 3 hits while striking out 14 and walking just one. Landstown 6 - Green Run 7.(in 9).  A lot of runs early for both teams.  It was even at 3 a piece after 2. #11 for Green Run settles down after a couple and held Landstowns big hitters in check.  A few key miscues by both teams had it going into late innings.  Faison came took the mound in the 6 and Christian Hartley did the same for Green Run with the score 5-6.  Error by right fielder for Green Run let the tying run cross the plate.  Both relievers pitch well until the bottom of the 9th.  Faison hit the leadoff for GR and then a passed ball put him scoring position.  With one out Justin Trawl who was 4 for 6 on the day hit a rope to left field the scored the winning run for GR.  Faison gets the lose, Hartley gets the win.  Faison was 2 for 4 with a K and an IBB.  Hartley was 1 for 3 with a 2 BB and a K.

Kellam 14 Salem 3.  Kellam SP Ryan Galvin pitched four shut out innings to earn the Win. Salem scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th when Kellam reliver had a tough time finding the zone and Brandon Trujillo knocked in a pair of runs with a single.  Kellam hitters exploded on Salem in the 6th and 7h innings (along with some sloppy Salem D) to score their last 9 runs.  Kellam was once again led by CF Josh Worthley who belted 2 more Home runs (4 in 3 games). Nick Walker added a solo shot, his first of the year.  Kellam plays FC @ Kellam this Friday @ 4pm.  This should be a great test for both teams !

6th was mostly walks and errors and the 7th was BP but obvious Salem just put a kid out there to throw to save innings for today's game (read not a pitcher) Obvious difference in teams is Kellam's deep list of arms to put on the mound. Lots of guys who can give an inning or two and keep you in a game. They did a great job on the mound.

Landstown beat Salem in 10 innings. Brandon Kusmell pitched outstanding for 5 innings in relief. Dylan Williams gets the win for Landstown. Alex Blankenship drove in the winning run with a 2 out single scoring Hunter Mendenhaul. Blankenship was 3-4 with a DBL and 3 RBI and 1 run scored, Faison was 2-4 with a DBL 3 RBI and 2 runs scored, Mendenhaul was 2-4 with 2 RBI and 1 run scored. For salem, Musante started on the mound, Tyler MCFadden pitched excellent in relief, Cowan gets the loss for Salem. Brandon Trujillo and Musante had 2 DBL each for Salem. Thats 2 extra inning games in a row for Landstown and with the new pitching rules leaves them pretty thin for the makeup game against Ocean Lakes saturday.

Landstown is anything but a one man show this year. Performance is fluctuating equally across the board; everyone has had their great plays/hits and everyone has had their missed plays/hits. Landstown's main problem seems to be leaving runners on base. As for pitching, all three pitchers did well for the Salem game but their staff struggled as a whole at green run.

Monster

I know Kellam is the dominate team at the beach.  Everyone on the forum would probably agree.  But dont sell short the other teams at the beach.  Landstown has had two extra inning games in a row.  And GR didnt loose by 10 to Kellam.  It was 7 - 0 and a pretty good game until the bottom of the 4th.  Alot of ups and downs in the beach.  Thats what makes it a wonderful game.  Every time between the lines is a battle.  The outcome is never a given.

Kellam 14 First Colonial 3.  FC's Bodie Sheehan touched Kellam starter for an rbi double in the 1st inning to give FC a good start in this game.  Kellam answered FC with with 8 runs on 7 hits with the big blow coming off the bat of Tyler "Hoss" Nelin's bat, a 3 run oppo HR.  FC's Micheal Reinerth came on to pitch well for 2 innings holding the score at 8-1.  FC took advantage of some unusual wildness of Kellam starter and touched him for 2 more runs cutting the lead to 8-3 in the 3rd.  Kellam would then go on to pound out 6 more runs in the next 1 1/3 innings with the final hit coming off Josh Worthley's incredibly hot bat.  Josh hit his 5th HR (yes, 5th in 4 games) to end the game by mercy rule.  Kellam plays @ Bayside Tues. @ 4pm and then Vs. Cox @ Kellam on Thursday @ 4pm.

OL 2 Landstown 1, Landstown out hit OL 9-2 and had base runners in scoring position in what seemed like every inning! multiple base running mistakes. Alex Blankenship pitched a gem but untimely errors cost him the win. Riley Koonce came in for the 5th and 6th and did a excellent job only giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. Brandon Kusemell was 3-4, Jake Sinniger was 1-3 with 1 RBI, Nick Faison was 1-2 scoring Landstowns only run.
