Beach District Games: May 10-15 (Week 9)

Bayside pulled out a gritty win against the eagles . Late in the 6th Landstown was down 9-4 before scoring a run , then Colton Langejans blasts one over the center field fence , & Jeremy Sandifer hits a triple down the right field line. Then Will Hinton comes up & hits a 2-run shot over the right field fence to make it 9-8 & knocking Justice out of the game. Tacking on another run in the top of the 7th via Scott Hurrell rbi, the game went into extras . The pitchers for both LHS and bayside held it dwn through the eighth before in the 9th inning Mitchell gets on for Bayside , steals 2nd & 3rd , & scores on a wild pitch thus winning the game for bayside 10-9.

First Colonial - 10
Salem - 0

Winning Pitcher - Ryan Cook

First Colonial lead 9-0 after 2 innings and cruised to a 10-0 win. Ryan Cook gave up just 1 hit in 5 innings.

Kendall Cuffee hit a 400+ foot 3-run home run in the 2nd.

FC had about 15 hits....a very strong game.

Landstown - 9
Kellam - 3

Langejans pitched a decent game on LHS senior night , only giving up 3 thru 5 2/3 i believe ?
Aaron Price shut the Knights down the rest of the game. Harrington i believe went 2 for 3 and Kilmon added a couple of rbi's for kellam . Even on a bad night for umpires in this game , kellam gave up alot of walks
