Landstown 3, Kempsville 1

Ryan Crain pitched a complete game striking out 9 and giving up only 2 hits. Frank Laster had two hits including a double and Zach Hutchison added a triple. Both teams played pretty good defense and got good pitching. Tom Wall pitched well for Kempsville.

Kempsville has a pretty young team. The only returning starters from last year are Matt Little and Neil Ramirez. The rest of the squad are new. I think they will hit better later in the season.

Returning starters for Landstown include Crain, Hutchison, Tim Soliday, Nate Smidgeon and Jack Reynolds.

The game ended on a wierd note. With 2 outs and a runner on third the Kempsville batter walked on a high pitch, the runner on third walked off third to almost halfway home and was picked off by Frank Laster. I don't know what the runner was thinking.
PA beat Kepmsville 11-0. Hudson started for PA thre 5 innings 2 hits. Pariss and Woods relieved. Hudson went 2-2 with 4 rbi's. MacAloose went 4-5, Weems 2-4, and Brad Falls added a homerun for the Cavaliers. Ramirez started for Kempsville but long innings and a high pitch count forced him to come out a little earlier than expected. PA plays FC on Tuesday and Ocean Lakes on Thursday
Salem 5 Cox 6

Salem Faught hard all game and had the lead most of the time. Salem went in to the 7 inning up 5-1, and with a few BLOWN calls by the umpires and a few flubb ups in the field by Salem; Cox tied it up with a three run triple.

Cox won in the eighth with a Grounder to drive in the run from third.

Tough loss for Salem. Salem did show that they can fight. So dont count the young team out!
